Henry tried to get me signed in the early eighties. We recorded a whole album project together and he shopped it fervently . He pulled every favor he knew and got some of the great players of the day to work on it with us. People like Vinnie Coliauta, Chuck Domanico, James Gadson, Peter White, Leo Nocentelli, Mark Hatch and more. We did not succeed in our quest but he remained my lifelong friend til the day he died. I dedicated my 3rd album "Blue Light" to him and included one track on it that he and I recorded during that long ago time. He taught me the great "less is more" truth. I will never forget him or what he taught me about recording and about life.
